~ ‘does anybody really know what time it is?’ :
he conversationally tells her one thing behind my back; i heedlessly tell her about another thing behind his back; she cunningly asks her for some thing behind my back;
she vengefully tells her one more thing behind his back. i wish someone would tell me how to explain ‘truth’ to someone whose self-worth relies on forcing others into remorse and to someone who has used the term ‘love’ more times in november than i did in the 90’s.
~ to paraphrase:
you might find a reaction by being so provocative, but i think that most people just want to stay away from you. (and) you create an environment that i can only think about leaving.
~ a drift:
a thanksgiving day of photoshop 5.5 and netscape 6 => a meal of lentils and pumpkin bread with citizens of los angeles => the angry red planet again victorious in ‘trivial pursuit, genus edition’ => fueled by delusion, barreling a 1973 ford thunderbird into the chocolate mountain night => freezing by the salton sea at 03:30 => guided by raw eyes, barreling back to los angeles at dawn.
~ not much progress at the angry red planet this week, as we have been introduced to the yahoo! version of the game ‘go‘. if you think you can muster up a challenge, or if you just want watch as the hours of our lives spin down the drain, look for raise_the_red_flag in the ‘go’ room, and bring your best game.

~ in light of the fact that the angry red planet is not a blog, we consider the navigation to be appropriate for the nature of the page. if you can’t deal with it, contact us or try going to diaryland [w].

~ a note to the ladies at sci-arc: everything that you say in the ladies’ trailer next to the mac lab can be can be heard by folks in the mens’ trailer next door. so maybe keep your voice low while conversating and opinionating on a boss that you just saw outside?

~ while napping on the floor under my desk, the angry red offices were invaded by unknown parties. upon their withdrawal, a box was found in the space, affixed with the following text:
at the point that i am writing this, the elections in the states are raging on. by the time you get this, there will be a new president. i wonder who?
this is just a present to say sorry, that i can’t keep my promise to come and visit this year. but i believe in fate, too.

~ the angry red planet has jumped onto the permalink bandwagon, so you may now direct your friends and clients directly to a news, or, ‘log’ post…

~ we have also added a ‘fall 2000’ page to the folio section.

~ more netscape 6 unpleasantries:
in the ‘orbit’ skin there is no ‘to:’ bar in mail
new mail is not differentiated from old mail
different ‘skins’ render websites differently
it adds borders and toolbars to pages which ask for neither to appear
none of these occur with the ‘modern theme’
if for every skin that exists, there is a visitor seeing you don’t know what… why are they moving away from web standards even within their own browser?

~ netscape 6 unscientific discoveries:
slower to open
slower to get pages
faster to load pages
crashed alone 5 times in one hour
crashed each time trying to load aim
error when checking mail – every time
rollover images fail
unwanted margin and toolbars appear in pop-ups
