Hiya!
\nI’m writing on behalf of the 2nd Annual
\nSouthern Girls Convention, being held this year in
\nLouisville, KY. From July 5th-7th, we hope to
\nprovide three days of knowledge and empowerment
\nthrough workshops, discussions, activism
\nopportunities, and a show featuring female musicians
\nof all genres. The convention, of course, is not
\nlimited to girls or Southerners in attendance, but
\nwill hopefully act as an opportunity for Southern
\nfeminists to educate each other and form alliances.
\nHere’s where you come in — we’re looking for
\npeople to set up tables during the convention, to
\nget the word out about their girl-friendly
\norganizations and businesses. Right now we’re
\nplanning for housing and meal arrangements for
\nparticipants from out of town and we want to take
\ncare of everyone who’s willing to help us out with
\nthis! There’s been a lot of support for SGC so far,
\nand we’re expecting a big turnout – this is a great
\nway to meet other like-minded individuals! If you
\nwish to use your table for selling merchandise,
\nwe’re asking a $15 donation, however there is no
\ncharge to set up a table distributing free
\npamphlets\/information. We’d love to get as many
\ntables set up as space allows and I’m trying to get
\na count of how much that will be ahead of time, so
\nplease let me know if you’re interested in the next
\nweek or so!<\/p>\n
